Training for Creativity and Innovation by Product and Process Design

METHODOLOGY

Problem solving requires decision making among identified difficulties and constraints. Creativity and innovation require synthesizing ideas, knowledge and available resources to generate optimum design solutions. Three aspects are identified as fundamental in attaining learning for creativity and innovation :

  • Practical experience and technical knowledge in materials properties and utilizing facilities in product development processes;
  • Theoretical concepts and scientific principles underlying individual industrial process; and
  • Applying acquired knowledge in problem based exercises of simulated industrial project.
